| From the car park walk to its far (Aberdyfi direction) end and then follow the beach until you see a flat roofed brick building on your right. Go across the pebble bank to the track which is just to the right of the building. |

| Follow the track across the golf course, keeping an eye out for playing golfers, to arrive at an unclassified road. Cross the road onto another track between the houses and after 900 yards you will arrive at the boatyard. |

| From the boatyard entrance follow the tarmac road, carefully crossing the river bridge with its view of Aberdyfi over the estuary. After about 200 yards, and before the railway crossing, you will see a gate on your left with a stile on its right. ***Please do not take dogs into the saltmarsh area*** |

| Cross the rather rickety stile ()asa at autumn 2020) and go through tow field gates, after the second go over the small hill in front of you a nd see another gate at the entrance to a large field. |

| At the gate look half right into the field and in the distance you will see a stile in the right hand corner. Make for this stile. |

| Cross the stile and ascend the embankment in front of you to gain a superb view of the salt marsh, the estuary and the surrounding hills. To walk further it is easier to descend to the seaward side of the embankment and walk along the fine turf on this side. Enjoy the view, the birds and the wonderful atmosphere of this location. Walk about half a mile to an old slipway and then consider returning the way you came, perhaps along the embankment,then back to the boatyard entrance. *** At the boatyard entrance you can if you wish follow the outward route back to the car park, a distance of 1 mile compared with the 2 miles remaining on the main route *** |

| A few yards into the entrance drive of the boatyard you will see a metal gate on the left, just after a bungalow. Go through the gate and follow the track for 500 yards down to the estuary of the Dyfi with its dramatic view. |

| Turn left along the track bounding the salt marsh and when it fades out continue along the beach past the vehicle entrance to the beach, from which point after about 200 yards you will arrive at the signpost indicating the Visitor Centre up along some wooden steps. |

| Follow the path 100 yards to the visitor centre and have a look around. Then emerge at the far side of the visitor centre to see the pedestrian gate which is the start of the Dune Walk. Walk the path which turns into a boardwalk as it ascends the dunes, to the top of the boardwalk. At this point take a moment to look at the magnificent views of the coast, the estuary, Cors Fochno and the hills to the north and east. |

| From the top of the boardwalk take the sandy path down onto the beach. At the beach turn left in the direction of Borth. After about 600 yards you will be opposite an old flat roofed brick building on your left. Do not go up to the brick building but continue along the beach to your starting point at the car park.
